The Music Development is run by professional musicians aiming to provide the community with a high standard musical service. We started in September 2005 with our first project the Liverpool Swing Band which consists of many music students and 5 professional musicians. Our services now include Improvisation, Percussion workshops and instrumental tuition; our musicians are also available for session/studio work.
In our first year we have seen some of Liverpool’s most talented music students dramatically improve, some of our students have gone from grade 3 to grade 6 (ABRSM) and are determined to reach grade 8 over the next few years.
Our performance nights offer students the opportunity to perform with a professional Jazz band at a concert at the end of each term. This is open to all students in Liverpool of all ages and abilities.
